My Story

Lynne Monroe became a follower of Jesus in 1988 through hearing the Bible and gospel taught clearly for the first time in a Sunday school class. Since then, Lynne has desired to know God more and more through the study of His Word in Christian community. She has been a Bible teacher and leader in an international ministry called Community Bible Study for the past 11 years. Before that, Lynne led, or was a leader in, numerous Bible studies in her community and church. She has held many lay leadership positions in her church, and she has given messages from the pulpit at her church. She has taught many Christian education classes. Lynne is also active in serving her community in inner city public schools. Lynne’s passion is making God’s name famous through both her words and actions. Lynne is happily married to Bill (over 30 years), and mother of Trey (21) and Megan (18.) She received an Industrial Engineering and Operations Research degree and then worked for IBM for 11 years before having children. She taught at a community college for a year before becoming a full time mother in 1994.
